London Broncos have secured another key signing for 2027 with the capital side confirming that they have secured Warrington Wolves forward Joe Philbin on a two-year contract.
Philbin becomes the second Warrington player to agree a deal at the Broncos for 2027 with centre Toby King having already secured a move to London for next year.
Such pieces of recruitment are a clear sign of intent but also outline the club’s growing belief that they will be in Super League next year.
Both men are of strong Super League calibre and only this past week, Leigh Leopards’ head coach Adrian Lam admitted that the club were looking at Philbin as an option for 2027 given the fact both Robbie Mulhern and Owen Trout will leave at the end of the season.
Unfortunately for Leigh, London have managed to get the deal done with a club statement confirming the signing of his two-year deal.

London Broncos sign Joe Philbin for 2027
A one-club man to date, Philbin will leave Warrington after over 250 appearances at the club, racked up during a 12-year career that has seen him represent England and Great Britain as well.
It’s that sort of experience and pedigree that will be invaluable to London if they return to Super League with the club admitting that his signing represents ‘another major step forward for London Broncos as preparations continue around the club’s long-term ambitions’.
Head coach Jason Demetriou said: “Joe is exactly the type of player we want at this club as we continue building a strong roster capable of competing at a high level.
“He brings genuine experience, understands what it takes to perform week in and week out, and adds a real edge to our forward pack that will be incredibly valuable for us.
“We are building for continued success, and Joe is another important piece of that moving forward.”
