London Broncos have confirmed their new captain for 2026 with one of the club’s major signings taking the armband.
With big investment coming into London, it’s seen the club build a squad that looks very very strong by Championship standards with a host of young rising talents signed alongside genuine NRL or Super League quality players.
A host of the group hail from Papua New Guinea having followed national team head coach Jason Demetriou to the role, however, Demetriou has selected one of the Australian recruits to skipper the side.
Star signing Reagan Campbell-Gillard, the first to sign for London has been announced as the Broncos captain for 2026.
The ex-NRL man is arguably the most experienced player in the group but head coach Demetriou hailed him for his actions in camp, with the capital club sharing a video of when Campbell-Gillard was confirmed as captain.

London Broncos will be in attendance at today’s Championship launch but prior to that getting underway, they took to social media to share footage of Campbell-Gillard being appointed.
In the footage, head coach Demetriou says: “I’m going to name our captain. He doesn’t know he is yet but I think from the time he’s signed until what we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks, he’s a real leader and I’m looking forward to seeing him lead this group.”
Campbell-Gillard was among the major first signings to fall alongside Siliva Havili with the former Australian international signing prior to confirmation that London had missed out on Super League.
Despite that, he’s stayed true to his contract and now is set to lead the Broncos in their 2026 campaign which gets underway when hosting Widnes this Sunday.
Speaking after being confirmed as captain, the prop said: “I think everyone here within these four walls is a leader and we’ll have fun. We’ll rip in, that’s the goal, that’s the dream, that’s the challenge.”
