Leigh Leopards make David Armstrong decision as team confirmed for Catalans Dragons clash

Leigh Leopards have had a major injury boost for their clash in the south of France against Catalans Dragons.

Adrian Lam’s side are trying to put their slow start to the season behind them and a victory in Perpignan would mark a third consecutive win and put them well on their way to righting the course.

Injuries to key players have been an obvious reason why Leigh have not been as strong as many expected but they’re slowly getting key players back and today’s team news has confirmed the return of David Armstrong, albeit via the bench, whilst Tesi Niu and Umyla Hanley start.

Armstrong had played 60 minutes for the reserves last week, scoring a try in that game, and he now makes his first senior appearance for the club since June last year.

He’ll line up opposite one of the form full-backs in Super League with Catalans’ Charlie Staines impressing so far since his switch from the NRL.
