Leigh Leopards have announced a new sportswear deal with a brand new company that looks to have a very familiar name involved.
The Leopards, whose 2025 sportswear was with Reebok, have confirmed that they have secured a new three-year deal with a brand new sportswear company called Debeau Performance.
In a club record deal worth six figures annually, the Leopards will have their shirts and training kit sponsored by Debeau Performance.
The name Debeau would appear to be a link to club owner Derek Beaumont, who is the only officer registered to Debeau Limited on their Companies House registry.
Debeau Limited was created in January 2025 with Derek Beaumont as the only shareholder and the company director and it would appear that the company’s first major business deal is their sponsorship of Leigh Leopards, with the company website confirming their launch in December later this year.
Moreover, the club’s statement saw CEO Neil Jukes reveal the Debeau Performance head designer to be a Leigh Leopards fan, possibly either Derek Beaumont or someone affiliated with him.
Leigh Leopards launch new sportswear deal
A statement confirmed the new partnership, with the club stating: “Leigh Leopards are delighted to announce a three-year club record Apparel Partnership with new sports brand Debeau Performance.
“The partnership sees Debeau Performance take the club training range exclusive sponsorship as well as a kit and apparel supply sponsorship agreement in a club record six-figure annual deal.
“Debeau Performance will be the exclusive supplier to the club from its wide range of products covering all Leigh Leopards teams as well as a wide and varied range of club and Debeau Performance retail garments.”
CEO Neil Jukes said: “This is a very exciting time for the club and is something that has been developing for many months. We are really excited by the designs that have been created by the Debeau Performance head designer, who is also a Leigh Leopards fan, and his passion is there to see in the work he has created.”
Jukes continued: “I am particularly looking forward to what this relationship will bring as we continue to maximise revenue streams for the club to achieve our goal of recruiting a team to win the competition. The increased sponsorship and competitive pricing that I have been able to negotiate for quality products will assist with that as we continually come under pressure to retain our best players.
“Clearly having success and quality players helps with marketing a brand. With Debeau Performance choosing Leigh Leopards to launch its brand on the market, before its own official launch, will certainly give them a good presence when that moment arrives.
“I am also really looking forward to the proposed launch videos of the kits which have seen some great sharing of ideas between the two businesses.”
Debeau Performance Director Emma Hadfield said: “We are delighted to be able to partner with an elite level Rugby League club to launch our new and exciting brand.”
