Huddersfield Giants have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of three Leeds Rhinos youngsters.
Luke Robinson’s side had a huge 16 players unavailable for their Challenge Cup tie with Hull KR, and as it stands only one player is set to return this week.
Tanguy Zenon was cup-tied after featuring for Halifax Panthers in the earlier rounds, but he will be back available for selection this weekend against Bradford Bulls.
Zenon will be joined by new recruits Ned McCormack, Presley Cassell and Riley Lumb, who are all currently on the fringes of Brad Arthur’s side.
The trio will come into contention this week, after they all featured in Leeds’ reserves victory over Leigh Leopards this weekend.
Lumb crossed for four tries in that game, whilst McCormack also got on the scoresheet. Lumb has scored 10 tries in 16 Super League games, whilst Cassell emerged as one of the best young forwards in the competition in 2025.
McCormack has made four top flight appearances, one of those came against , as well as a Challenge Cup appearance against Widnes earlier this season.
Giants Director of Rugby spoke on the three signings, saying: “It’s good to have the Rhinos lads on board, three young and quality players.
“They add to the playing squad and will help us in our ultimate goal to have our players back on the field, we thank Leeds Rhinos for assisting us.
“They will help our Head Coach Luke Robinson in giving him options to pick from in a time where we have been blighted by injury, so that we are able to pick from a competitive squad to face Bradford.”
Huddersfield could also hand a debut to former Warrington Wolves man Connor Wrench, as he returns to the sport after retiring in August last season, however he will have to pass a fitness test in order to prove he is ready to return to the action.
