Leeds Rhinos host Super League leaders Hull KR at Headingley tonight and there are plenty of predicted changes for both sides.
The Robins can extend their lead at the top of Super League with a win whereas Brad Arthur’s side will be hoping to protect their current top-six placing.
Leeds have faced a far easier schedule so far than most with seven of their eight Super League games coming against teams in the bottom six. Ironically, they won the game against a top-six side in Wigan but losses to Warrington, Catalans and Wakefield mean they sit just sixth.
As for Hull KR, Wigan are the only side to beat them so far this season with Willie Peters’ team flying in 2025 but two of the flyers in their team are out for this one. Both wingers Tom Davies and Joe Burgess will miss out forcing changes in the backline.
For Leeds, Mikolaj Oledzki is a welcome return from his suspension and we’ve looked at how both head coaches could line their sides up for tonight’s clash.
How Leeds Rhinos could line up against the Robins
Fitting Mikolaj Oledzki back in will certainly see one key player drop out but the question is who? Tom Holroyd went well at prop last week but looks like he could be the man to drop out, with the addition of Kallum Watkins meaning there is plenty more power and experience in the pack.
With Jack Sinfield providing cover at nine and in the halves, he seems likely to keep his spot on the bench whilst the impact of Sam Lisone is clear for all to see. Another question Brad Arthur faces is which two of Morgan Gannon, James McDonnell and James Bentley to start, with Gannon confirmed to be leaving for the NRL at the end of the season.
Man of Steel front-runner Jake Connor will pair Matt Frawley in Brodie Croft’s absence whilst Ryan Hall will get to line up against his former team for the first time since returning to Leeds.
Predicted Leeds Rhinos XIII: Lachlan Miller; Ryan Hall, Harry Newman, Ash Handley, Riley Lumb; Jake Connor, Matt Frawley; Mikolaj Oledzki, Jarrod O’Connor, Cooper Jenkins; James McDonnell, Morgan Gannon, Keenan Palasia
Predicted interchanges: Sam Lisone, Kallum Watkins, James Bentley, Jack Sinfield

How Hull KR could line up against the Rhinos
The two changes int he starting XIII for Hull KR appear quite simple with Lee Kershaw’s loan at Castleford coming to a close being very timely. He will slot in on one wing whilst utility man Jack Broadbent will take the other spot as Joe Burgess (HIA) and Tom Davies (shoulder) miss out.
With Broadbent in the starting XIII, it means that Hull KR have to decide whether to carry a utility on the bench or pack it out with four forwards. Bill Leyland is our selection with the young hooker talked up by Willie Peters in the press this week.
Should Peters not go with Leyland then it’s likely that Jack Brown would earn the fourth and final interchange spot behind the trusted trio of Kelepi Tanginoa, Sam Luckley and Jai Whitbread.
Predicted Hull KR XIII: Arthur Mourgue; Lee Kershaw, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Jack Broadbent; Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May; Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella
Predicted interchanges: Kelepi Tanginoa, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Bill Leyland
