Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants team news with Kallum Watkins set for second debut

Leeds Rhinos
A first-choice player’s return provides some rare good news for Huddersfield Giants coach Luke Robinson ahead of Friday’s visit to Leeds Rhinos.

Prop Oliver Wilson has completed a two-game ban and is back in Giants’ initial 21-man squad for the Super League rivals round clash.

Half-back Leo Ward has also been drafted in, but Giants remain ravaged by injury and two more players have joined the casualty list with prop Fenton Rogers (ankle) and on-loan Hull KR hooker Bill Leyland (concussion) dropping out from the side beaten by Catalans Dragons last Sunday.

Huddersfield Giants’ 21-man squad: Jacob Gagai, Jake Bibby, Liam Sutcliffe, Sam Halsall, Oliver Wilson, Tom Burgess, Sam Hewitt, Ashton Golding, Joe Greenwood, Thomas Deakin, Elliot Wallis, Leroy Cudjoe, Taane Milne, Aidan McGowan, Jack Billington, Connor Carr, George Flanagan, Jack Bibby, Leo Ward, Max Merta, Jacob Algar.
