It’s like Christmas morning for some Super League fans today as finally, the latest virtual rugby league game is released, and ‘Rugby League 26’ is available to purchase.
It has been eight years since the last one, with Rugby League Live 4 coming out in 2017.
New face-scans, improved interface and stronger graphics make for huge upgrades since the last rugby league video game, but perhaps the most important feature, is which players in the game are rated the highest.
So, who are the top stars in Super League with the highest ratings on the game?
The best Super League players in Rugby League 26
90 – Mikey Lewis and George Williams
Hull KR halfback Lewis joins England captain Williams as they share top spot, with both having a rating of 90. This is the same rating as Parramatta Eels’ Mitchell Moses, and they are only behind Nathan Cleary and Jahrome Hughes as the highest-rated halves in the game.
89 – Matt Dufty, Jai Field and Bevan French
Warrington full back Dufty, and the Wigan duo of Field and French round out the top five. Their calibre and talent are non-negotiable, and you could perhaps argue that Field especially should be higher, having 34 try contributions in 21 matches this season already.
88 – Matty Ashton, Herman Ese’Ese, Junior Nsemba and Luke Thompson
Wire flyer Ashton joins with Hull FC powerhouse prop Ese’ese, and Wigan’s Nsemba and Thompson all standing at 88-rated. They have all lit up Super League with their incredible skill and effort, and are rightfully named amongst the best that the league has to offer.
Ese’ese and Thompson are the highest rated props in the league, with Nsemba the highest rated back rower.
