Hull KR v St Helens teams as Willie Peters rests key man ahead of Wembley

Hull KR

Willie Peters and Paul Wellens have named their respective teams ahead of tonight’s clash between Hull KR and St Helens.

The Robins currently sit on top of Super League and they’ll be keen to extend their winning run and keep Wigan Warriors at arm’s reach with another win, but it’s fair to say next week’s Challenge Cup final is more than a distraction at this point. And, Peters has made the decision to rest a key man with next season in mind.

Dean Hadley is the man to miss out with the veteran just one charge away from a ban. He’ll be refreshed and ready for the clash at Wembley next week, as will Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who is serving the second game of his two-match suspension.

Kelepi Tanginoa is the man named to start in the back-row, while Eribe Doro and hooker Bill Leyland is on the bench with Peters sticking with something relatively close to his strongest side.

Wellens has resisted the urge to bring Harry Robertson back into his starting line-up. He’s on the bench after overcoming injury, with Deon Cross and Mark Percival named at three and four.

Matt Whitley returns to start after missing last week through a head knock and he plays in the back-row, while Jonny Lomax and George Whitby play together once more in the halves.
