Hull KR take on St Helens tonight at Craven Park a week before the Challenge Cup Final and we’ve predicted how each side could line up.
Ahead of their meeting with Warrington at Wembley next Saturday, rotation has been discussed but Willie Peters has insisted that the best way to win the Challenge Cup is to carry forward momentum.
That’s seen him make very few changes in recent matches but he could be forced into one this week with a disciplinary worry looming large ahead of the big game.
As for St Helens, they’ve found their feet in the last two matches with large wins against Catalans Dragons and Huddersfield Giants but this is a different test altogether.
Saints’ record against the big teams has been torrid of late and this match feels like one where Paul Wellens’ side could truly turn a corner with a win, but with Willie Peters unlikely to rotate, it’s set to be a very tough task.
Here’s how we think each side could line up.
How Hull KR could line up against Saints
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is still suspended whilst the likes of Oliver Gildart, Rhyse Martin and Micky McIlorum are out long-term. Bill Leyland has overcome an ankle issue but Lee Kershaw has been sent for scans on his knee, so Peters has plenty of players to pick from.
One man who he said he would be giving a chance to is Eribe Doro which suggests that Dean Hadley, who has played every game this season and is one Grade B (or higher) charge away from a ban, will be rested.
Another who could be rested is Jack Broadbent. With Arthur Mourgue cup-tied, Broadbent is the clear option at full-back for Wembley and the Robins could rest him and hand another chance to young talent Noah Booth.
Outside of that, it’s fairly standard for Hull KR with Bill Leyland returning as the utility in place of Danny Richardson.
Hull KR XIII: Arthur Mourgue, Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Noah Booth, Joe Burgess, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jai Whitbread, Kelepi Tanginoa, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella
Interchanges: Bill Leyland, Eribe Doro, Sam Luckley, Jack Brown

How St Helens could line up against the Robins
Paul Wellens has a bigger dilemma than Willie Peters and that is who to drop from his back five after Harry Robertson’s return. The young centre is back in the 21-man squad and Wellens conceded that whilst those who have featured ‘deserve rewarding’, Robertson’s early season form cannot be ignored.
Tristan Sailor has moved to the wing whilst recent recruit Deon Cross has slotted in nicely at centre. Short of changing anything for the sake of it, we’ve predicted Robertson to start from the bench and offer some impact when needed.
Matt Whitley returns after missing last week due to a HIA, whilst the impressive Alex Walmsley starts in the pack once again with George Delaney and Agnatius Paasi serving as options from the bench.
St Helens XIII: Jack Welsby, Tristan Sailor, Mark Percival, Deon Cross, Lewis Murphy, Jonny Lomax, George Whitby, Matty Lees, Daryl Clark, Alex Walmsley, Matt Whitley, Curtis Sironen, Morgan Knowles
Interchanges: Moses Mbye, Agnatius Paasi, George Delaney, Harry Robertson
