Hull KR v Salford Red Devils team news with triple injury boost and loanee recall confirmed

Hull KR

Willie Peters and Paul Rowley have made three changes to their respective Hull KR and Salford Red Devils squads this week. The two clubs go head to head at Magic Weekend, with Rovers looking to extend their lead at the top of the Super League table.

The Robins will be without both Tom Davies and Joe Burgess due to the injuries they picked up in Rivals Round. Peters confirmed during his press conference on Wednesday that the pair would be missing, with Davies struggling with a shoulder issue, while Burgess has been given more time after a head knock.

Kelepi Tanginoa drops out due to the head knock he suffered against Leeds Rhinos last Friday night, while Sauaso Sue is included after the Match Review Panel’s decision not to charge him following his red card at Headingley. With Tanginoa missing out, Peters will be forced to make at least one change to his side and that will likely come on the edge, with James Batchelor set to move back into the back-row.

Eribe Doro, AJ Wallace and Noah Booth are all named in the squad following the completion of their respective loans at Bradford Bulls, Sheffield Eagles and Featherstone Rovers. Leon Ruan and Zach Fishwick drop out.

Salford have been able to call on Ethan Ryan this week with the winger overcoming his latest injury, while Chris Hankinson and Matty Foster have also been passed fit to play at St James’ Park.

Joe Mellor has picked up an ankle knock and won’t play, and Jake Thewlis has been recalled from his loan by parent club Warrington Wolves. Finley Yates also misses out.
