Hull KR return to Craven Park on Friday night with Willie Peters’ side set to host Bradford Bulls but both sides will be without some key players.
The Robins had been able to call Craven Park a fortress in 2026 until last time they played there, when Wakefield Trinity beat them comfortably, with Hull KR failing to even score a try.
They will have plenty of hope that they can get back to winning ways given that Bradford have won just once on the road this season and Kurt Haggerty’s side are in the midst of a massive injury crisis.
Bradford lost to Leeds on Sunday but they also picked up three more injury concerns which, when added to the list of unavailable players they already have, could cause issues on Friday night.
The Bulls had only been able to name 19 players in their 21-man squad for that clash with Leeds and unless they get some senior bodies back, they’ll have to blood in some academy debutants at Craven Park.
Hull KR injury news
Hull KR have overcome their recent injury spell with their major issue at the moment being suspension as both Tevita Pangai Jr and Mikey Lewis are unavailable for this one as a result of their recent bans.
Pangai Jr was hit with a huge six-match ban for his involvement on the deck with Jake Connor, whilst Lewis had a similar charge of a headbutt that landed him a four-match ban, the first game of which he served against Hull FC.
Sauaso Sue was limited to just 18 minutes in that one with Willie Peters confirming that the prop is dealing with a foot injury and this could be seen as a prime chance to rest him.
Young back Jumah Sambou continues to recover from a hamstring injury with the Robins otherwise having a clean bill of health.
Bradford Bulls injury news
The same cannot be said for Bradford who are stumbling towards the finish line of the season thanks to their own injury issues.
Jayden Nikorima (shoulder), Jack Ormondroyd (ankle) and Phoenix Steinwede (back) all had issues at the weekend with Kurt Haggerty confirming that Nikorima’s shoulder had come out before going back in.
A decision will surely be made this week on the fitness of that trio but the Bulls will certainly be without Waqa Blake (knee), Esan Marsters (Achilles), Ed Chamberlain (foot), Eribe Doro (calf), Sam Hallas (shoulder), Cam Bate (knee) and Mitch Souter (ankle), all of whom are out for the season.
They will also likely be without Rowan Milnes and Joe Keyes who have recently starting running outside following their injuries, whilst Jayden Okunbor is one of several with no return to play date following his bulging disc back issue.
That list includes Dan Russell, who is to see a specialist about his eye, and Brandon Douglas (knee), whilst Jamie Gill (knee) and Loghan Lewis could return this week against Hull KR.
