Hull KR star Arthur Mourgue has shared a simple five-word message after his game-ending injury suffered in the World Club Challenge.
Mourgue has lit it up for Hull KR since his early-season move in from Catalans Dragons in 2025 but the Robins will now be without him for a significant period of time.
Caught up in a tackle in last week’s World Club Challenge win, Mourgue immediately gestured to his shoulder and armpit region with the full-back leaving the field before half time and deemed unable to return.
Willie Peters confirmed post-match that Mourgue had suffered a pec injury, something that the Frenchman has now undergone surgery for.
It’s meant that he has missed out on the trip to Las Vegas but he could also miss out on at least the next 12 to 16 weeks with pec injuries not a quick fix, particularly when they require surgery.
Hull KR and Mourgue himself have now provided updates via social media.

The Robins shared an image of the Frenchman in his hospital bed to confirm the fact that Mourgue had undergone surgery, though no recovery timeline was provided.
They said: “Earlier this week, Arthur Mourgue underwent surgery on the pectoral injury he sustained against Brisbane Broncos. We’re all with you, Arthur.”
Just 22 hours before that, Mourgue had shared his own update with the 26-year-old sharing a simple message.
“Surgery done. See you soon,” Mourgue shared on his Instagram, a defiant message after a considerable set-back.
Jack Broadbent will be the man who fills in whilst Mourgue recovers with the ex-Catalans man just one of several full-backs to suffer lengthy injuries early in the year.
Both Blake Taaffe and Will Pryce have seen their seasons end early with ACL injuries, whilst Leigh Leopards’ Bailey Hodgson left the field in some discomfort with Adrian Lam fearful that was a long-term injury.
Jack Welsby suffered a dislocated shoulder in round one that will rule him out for up tp 16 weeks whilst ex-Hull KR man and current Huddersfield Giants full-back Niall Evalds remains out and isn’t expected to return until Round Five or Six of Super League.
