Hull KR have released a statement to confirm that their limited edition Las Vegas shirts have been stolen in transit.
The Robins will take on Leeds Rhinos at the Allegiant Stadium in February as the two clubs follow in the footsteps of Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves, who were the first Super League clubs to play in Las Vegas when they faced off earlier this year.
Alongside their announcement that they will play in Las Vegas, Hull KR have already announced their limited edition shirt that they will play in.
Featuring plenty of Las Vegas details and official Super League branding with Las Vegas 26 on the back of the shirt, the stolen items are easily identifiable given the fact the shirts aren’t actually on sale yet.
A statement read: “The club would like to inform supporters that whilst in transit, the delivery of our Las Vegas 2026 home shirts was stolen.”
They’ve now reminded fans that the only places that those shirts can be bought legally are their own club shop and The Rugby Store, with a number of the stolen shirts already having appeared on resale sites.
Hull KR appeal for information after shirts stolen
Hull KR have confirmed that all shirts will be reproduced, however, they have confirmed that the new shirts contain “several small subtle differences”, so stolen shirts can be distinguished.
Fans will be able to buy the shirts with details confirmed later this month, however, any people with knowledge of the whereabouts of the stolen shirts have been urged to contact the police with a crime number noted.
The club’s statement confirmed: “None of the shirts are available for official sale yet and therefore are easily identified. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen goods or if you are approached by resellers of the stolen goods, please report this to West Yorkshire Police quoting the below crime number: Crime number – 13250611668 via https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk or by calling 101.”
