Hull KR return to action on Friday night, less than a week after winning the Challenge Cup, and they’re set to make history.
The Robins host Catalans Dragons at Craven Park and the club have now confirmed that they have sold more home tickets than ever before.
Taking to social media, Hull KR confirmed the sell-out home crowd and explained the record it would set as they continue on their incredible 2025 campaign.
On X, Hull KR announced: “Friday night’s Round 14 clash is now sold out meaning that it will be the highest number of home fans we have ever had at Sewell Group Craven Park.”
A temporary stand has been erected at Craven Park for the 2025 season with the plans being that if they can consistently fill it, then a permanent extension can be justified.
As such, the Craven Park capacity has shot up and multiple crowds of 11,000+ have been recorded with Friday set to be another.
Willie Peters calls on Hull KR players to step up on Friday for the fans
Whilst there are two Super League points on the line on Friday night, it certainly feels like a celebration game with the Robins set to play in front of their adoring home fans as trophy winners for the first time in 40 years.
Thousands turned out to watch the players at their trophy parade on Sunday and now plenty of those will descend upon Craven Park for a home sell-out.
Despite Willie Peters confirming that the players would be parading the trophy post-match, he urged focus for the game with the Robins still seeking further ambitions in 2025.
Peters explained: “Friday is going to be the biggest crowed of the year so we’ve got an opportunity to be able to continue the celebration in terms of walking around with the trophy afterwards.
“If we go and lose that game or we don’t perform, then it’s going to be pretty sombre for us and the fans. We want the fans to celebrate, we’ve had our time to do that. We want the fans to celebrate and enjoy it now.”
He also spoke about the fans and their impact, referencing the parade: “Coming back to East Hull and having that parade with the amount of people that were there to welcome us back. They’re part of it, everyone’s part of it, it’s not just what we do. They help us as well and they pay their money every week so support this club.
“They have done for many many years through some tough times so I knew it (celebrations) would be like that.”
