Championship club Hunslet RLFC have released a statement revealing that they are “extremely disappointed” after Super League leaders Hull KR recalled one of their star players.
The Robins are flying high at the top of the Super League table and are making some major transfer moves of their own with the club announcing that they have signed former Dream Team prop Tom Amone, however, their actions regarding one of their younger players has also made the news.
Hunslet RFLC, who sit at the foot of the Championship, have taken to social media to reveal that the Robins have recalled young outside back Noah Booth, who Hull KR signed earlier this year in a swap deal that saw Neil Tchamambe head the other way to Wakefield.
Wakefield had previously agreed that Booth would play for Hunslet throughout 2025 and Hull KR continued that arrangement, however, that deal has now been cut short.
Booth was named in Hull KR’s 21-man squad to face Wigan Warriors last Friday and the Championship side have now revealed Booth’s loan spell has come to an end.
Hull KR recall loan star from Championship club
The Parksiders, who have lost their first six games in the Championship in 2025, took to X to confirm that Booth had been recalled.
Hunslet posted: “We are extremely disappointed to announce that Hull Kingston Rovers have recalled Noah Booth from his season-long loan.
“We understand that Noah will instead be loaned to another Championship Club.
“We would like to express our thanks to Noah for his efforts whilst with us and wish him well for the future.”
Booth had been on fire during his time with Hunslet, scoring numerous intercept tries and being one of the club’s shining lights.
In his eight appearances, Booth had scored six tries which highlighted his prowess and showed why Hull KR were happy to name him in their 21-man squad for the clash with Wigan.
Hull KR have since confirmed that Booth has joined Featherstone Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.
