Hull KR could welcome back prop forward Sauaso Sue for Friday night’s Super League clash against Castleford Tigers, with Willie Peters also admitting that his side will be forced to rotate over the coming month.
A key reason for that is the fact that Hull KR will be playing five games in August, including a block that sees them play three games in just ten days as a result of their round two clash against Warrington being postponed on account of the Robins’ World Club Challenge participation.
Addressing the coming month when speaking at his presser on Tuesday, Peters admitted: “We’ve got a big block (of games) coming up. Certainly, there’ll be a little bit of rotation around the squad and what that looks like but we want to take it game by game because it can change each week.”
Peters added: “There’s suspensions and obviously players getting injured, form, so we’re just going to go week by week. There’s a bit of a plan there in and around when we’ve got those four games in a short period.
“We feel players need to rest but this time of the year and part of the year, we need to improve and build cohesion and consistency with how we want to play so we need to make sure that we’re finishing the back end of the year the best we can.”

Sausao Sue in line for Hull KR return
One man who could return this week and help build consistency among the club’s forward pack is Sauaso Sue, who missed out last week with a foot injury.
“Hopefully, Jesse Sue will be back this week. He’s on track, he trained today and he’s on track at the moment,” Peters explained.
He also confirmed that they had came through the game against Bradford unscathed, claiming that ‘everyone seemed okay’ with the expectation being that the Robins will look very similar.
Peters explained: “It’ll be a pretty similar side to last week, but unfortunately we’ve got players that will miss out that have played and they’ve been in the team. It’s just where we’re at at the moment.”
There was also an update issued on outside back Jumah Sambou, who had suffered a hamstring injury whilst on loan at Widnes with the Vikings reportedly hoping that he can return for the Championship play-offs.
When asked about that, Peters said: “He’s with us at the moment. We’re looking after his rehab.
“He’s not running or anything like that. He’s in with us during the week. As I say, I need to get the exact information for him, but he’s not out yet.”
