Hull KR have opted against playing Arthur Mourgue in today’s game against Wakefield Trinity, with the Frenchman left out of the matchday squad.
Mourgue suffered a torn pec in the World Club Challenge win over Brisbane Broncos and he aggravated that pec once again on his return game against Leigh Leopards back in May, with this match being the first he was considered for since then.
Willie Peters has decided on Mourgue’s fitness, with calls also made on Joe Burgess and Sam Luckley after the pair also returned to the 21-man squad.
As for Wakefield, Daryl Powell confirmed earlier in the week that he could be set to field a debutant given the injury absence of Jack Sinfield, and he’s now made his decision.

Myles Lawford will make his Super League debut this afternoon in the absence of Jack Sinfield, but Daryl Powell has opted to play somewhat safe, with Tyson Smoothy taking the starting seven spot.
Lawford takes up a place on the bench, meaning there is a start for Harvey Smith against the Robins. The rest of the side remains unchanged after last week’s win over Castleford at Magic Weekend.
