Hull KR loan out duo as forward re-joins Championship club

Hull KR fringe man Eribe Doro has re-joined Bradford Bulls on an initial two-week loan deal. Doro joined the Robins from Bradford at the end of the 2024 season after impressing with the Championship side.

However, he has struggled for game time in red and white so far with his only outing coming in a routine Challenge Cup victory over Oldham at Craven Park.

Doro made 31 appearances for the Bulls during his time there, with three tries coming along the way. He also enjoyed a clean sweep at Bradford’s 2024 awards night, with the Hitman of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year among a raft of individual accolades handed to him.

The hope will be that he can pick up where he left off at Odsal then and rediscover the form that saw him become a fans’ favourite in West Yorkshire. He’ll make his second debut for the club this week against Halifax Panthers too, with the forward included in Brian Noble’s squad.

“I am really glad, it is one of those things where we have an association with former players, there was unwritten commitment if you like that if at all possible he could come back and help, there might be an opportunity. He’s coming back and we’re hoping he can make a difference,” Noble told the Bradford website.

“Hull KR will want him to play at the highest level and I am pretty confident there were Super League clubs nibbling away at him to play in their environment, but the fact he has chosen to come back to us is a real fillip for us and big boost in the arm.

“He was the Player of the Year in everyone’s eyes last year, he is well respected and I am sure he understands he now needs to do the run hard and tackle hard stuff.

“What higher level could we offer him than games against the 1st and 2nd placed teams in the competition, he wants to help us in that respect and we are thankful Hull KR have allowed him to come as he is not too far off their team, so for us to have him a huge bonus.”

Hull KR have also loaned young winger Harvey Horne to Sheffield Eagles for the season.
