The 250th derby between Hull KR and Hull FC will be played today and the team news for the game at Craven Park has now been confirmed.
Despite being the champions and boasting a far better recent record in this game, it’s actually hosts Hull KR who sit lower down the Super League table with the visiting Black and Whites actually on a two-game winning streak.
John Cartwright’s side are however far more injury-impacted with a host of key players out whilst Hull KR’s injury list numbers just Arthur Mourgue (pec) and Rhyse Martin (foot).
Among the key narratives in the build-up have been the fact it will be Willie Peters’ last regular season home derby, the fact that James and Joe Batchelor could play against each other, and whether or not FC captain Aidan Sezer is fit enough to return to the squad.
Those questions have now been answered with each club confirming their 17-man matchday squad.
