Challenge Cup finalists Hull KR take on Huddersfield Giants in Round Eleven of Super League and the team news for both sides is in.
It will be the second meeting between the Robins and the Giants this season with Hull KR easing to a 50-4 win in Round Six when they met at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Hull KR have gone from strength to strength since then with Willie Peters’ side sitting atop Super League, whilst Huddersfield saw their losing streak continue. They did finally end that at Magic Weekend as they beat Hull FC 12-10 and Luke Robinson’s side will be hoping to kick on from then.
The Giants have had a week off to recover whereas Rovers found themselves in Challenge Cup action, beating Catalans Dragons to make it to Wembley.
Fresh off the announcement that they will head to Las vegas in 2026, Hull KR turn their attention to Huddersfield and the team news for both sides has now been confirmed.
Hull KR team news
It was officially confirmed earlier this week that centre Oliver Gildart has undergone surgery and will be out for four months, meaning he joins Rhyse Martin and Micky McIlorum on the club’s long-term injury list.
Arthur Mourgue and Noah Booth come back into the squad after being cup-tied for last week’s semi-final clash with Catalans Dragons. Mourgue will likely step straight back into the side at full-back in a move that sees Jack Broadbent move into the line to cover for the injured Gildart.
Hull KR 21-man squad: Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Joe Burgess, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Jack Broadbent, Danny Richardson, Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Eribe Doro, Bill Leyland, Arthur Mourgue, Noah Booth.
Huddersfield Giants news
Part of the reason Huddersfield were able to overcome Hull FC at Magic Weekend was due to the return of Adam Clune as the club’s injury crisis started to ease and Luke Robinson confirmed more could return this week.
He explained that Harry Rushton and George King were in contention with the latter set to make his first appearance since making the move from Hull KR over the off-season.
There’s no Tom Burgess, though, with the prop carrying a number of small knocks at present.
Huddersfield Giants 21-man squad: Jacob Gagai, Adam Swift, Jake Bibby, Sam Halsall, Adam Clune, Oliver Wilson, Zac Woolford, Jack Murchie, Sam Hewitt, Harry Rushton, Ashton Golding, Matty English, George King, Joe Greenwood, Leroy Cudjoe, Taane Milne, Kieran Rush, Connor Carr, George Flanagan, Jack Bibby, Max Merta.
