Willie Peters has admitted that his side will get a ‘huge lift’ on Saturday against Warrington Wolves with the Hull KR head coach confirming the return of three key players from injury.
The Robins are reeling after their latest defeat, a 20-6 home loss to Wakefield Trinity, which saw Hull KR lose their longstanding winning run at home, and an even longer standing run of scoring a try at home.
Hull KR were kept to just three penalties from the boot of Rhyse Martin as a Caius Faatili double helped down them with Wakefield’s pack proving too powerful for the ill-disciplined and ineffective hosts.
Pack issues will be remedied this week against Warrington as Willie Peters has confirmed that both Dean Hadley and Tom Amone will return, whilst full-back Arthur Mourgue who will come back from a long lay-off.
Speaking at his pre-match presser today (Wednesday), Peters confirmed: “Arthur got through today and, yeah, he’s right to go. It’s great to have him back and Dean Hadley will be back as well.
“Dean’s massive. Both players are really important to us. Tom Amone’s back in this week as well.
“There’s three good ins there that’ll help the team, provide some energy and it’s good to have those three back in.”

Hull KR welcome back key trio for crunch clash
Peters is right in that they are three very good ‘ins’ with both Hadley and Amone offering some power to the pack, as well as ensuring better rotation options, whilst Mourgue will likely slot straight back in at full-back where Ryan Hampshire has played the last two weeks.
On Mourgue, who suffered a pec injury in the World Club Challenge before suffering a similar injury on his return game back in May, Peters admitted: “Arthur has had a tough season. He come back really strong in the pre-season. He looked very sharp, put some size on and then had that injury early on. We certainly missed him and he came back and did the same injury.
“We needed to make sure and just wait until Arthur felt confident. The medical team are happy with how things are and it was just a matter of Arthur feeling confident to be able to play again and he certainly is now. He’s a big in.”
As for Hadley, who Hull KR have certainly missed since his HIA early on in the loss to Leeds, Peters spoke about just how important the forward is, as well as his joy at the veteran finally being recognised.
“Dean Hadley’s massive to our pack and so underrated and I’m just glad that he’s getting recognised on a personal note from being in England’s squads because he’s very important to what we do,” Peters said.
Specifying what Hadley does bring, he explained: “He just does a lot of the cleaning up. He’s a worker, but certainly with our interchange, he helps with that. We don’t have to make too many in that first half and we can manage players.
“Players have probably had to play bigger minutes compared to what they usually do. Once they’re fatigued, that’s when errors can creep in and it’s not as clean defensively. His ability to be able to play a full game and he does the same in terms of effort from minute one to minute 80.
“I’d like to think it gives it a lot of lift. A huge lift to the group. We weren’t happy with that performance and what we’re doing is looking forward now. Those three guys can certainly help.”
