Hull KR halfback Mikey Lewis set to miss Leigh Leopards fixture next week after failing his HIA

Hull KR have suffered a massive injury blow in their Super League game against Leeds Rhinos on Sunday afternoon.

Halfback Mikey Lewis went off for an HIA in the 28th minute against the Rhinos and was replaced by Michael McIlorum, with Jez Litten moving into the halves to pair with Tyrone May.

It’s a big blow for the Robins as they aim to go six points clear at the top of the table.

The failed HIA means that not only did Lewis not return for the second half, but he will also miss next week’s trip to Leigh Leopards on Saturday 12th July.

It’s not the first game the halfback has missed in 2025, having missed out in rounds three and seven.

Lewis was celebrating a call-up into Shaun Wane’s England train-on squad earlier in the week, alongside fellow Rovers players James Batchelor, Jez Litten and Elliot Minchella.

Hull KR tried to activate their 18th man, Jack Brown, to join the squad but were unable to do so.

The ruling was that because it was the result of a penalty, rather than a card or an on-report call, they’re unable to play Brown.

However, Rovers’ social media stated that Brown was in fact added to the bench.
