Super League champions Hull KR have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026 season with a major hint at an incoming signing based on the fact that one number is left vacant.
The Robins have handed out squad numbers to 32 players but number 19 is mysteriously left open, hinting that the club’s business is not yet done.
St Helens have done similar when they announced their squad numbers with the number 25 shirt left vacant. When asked at a fan event about that, head coach Paul Rowley explained that “recruitment is always a fluid thing”, implying that the shirt number could be filled at any point.
The same can likely be said for Hull KR given the fact the number 19 is even more prominent in a squad than 25, simply given it’s proximity to the top 17. One high profile man that Hull KR have been linked with is NRL man Karl Lawton, with 19 possibly set aside in case a deal comes through for the North Queensland Cowboys man.

Hull KR confirm 2026 squad numbers
The Robins’ squad numbers are largely unchanged within their top 17 as Hull KR haven’t moved too much around, though there are some obvious changes.
Last year’s in-season signing Arthur Mourgue takes the number one shirt having worn 35 in 2025, whilst new signing Tom Amone takes the number ten shirt that has been vacated by the retiring Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
Ultimate utility back Jack Broadbent takes the number 14 shirt which has been worn by Micky McIlorum in 2025 whilst new signings Jordan Dezaria, Jack Charles, Tom Whitehead, Cobie Wainhouse, Declan Murphy and Jumah Sambou take shirts 20, 24, 29, 30, 31, and 32 respectively.
Academy graduate Frankie Dearlove takes the number 33 shirt.
