Details of the upcoming Hull KR documentary that covers their historic treble-winning season have been revealed with the release date for the first episode confirmed.
It will be the second major rugby league documentary in as many years that covers a team’s treble-winning season with Wigan Warriors have their 2024 campaign documented in the series We are Wigan Warriors.
That was aired on Sky Sports and that will be the destination for the upcoming Hull KR documentary as well with six episodes to be aired by the broadcaster.
The first of those six episodes will air on Thursday, 12th February at 10:15 pm, immediately after Sky Sports’ coverage of the Super League opener between York Knights and Hull KR ends.
Episode two will also follow on at 10:45 pm meaning Rovers fans will have a loaded evening, first watching their Super League campaign start before an hour of reliving the successes of 2025.
Titled Hull KR Renaissance, episodes three and four will come the week after following the Robins’ World Club Challenge clash with Brisbane Broncos. Currently, episodes five and six are still to be confirmed but if the trend of two episodes per Thursday night continues then the series would conclude on Thursday, February 26th.
What to expect from Hull KR documentary
For those who enjoyed the Wigan Warriors documentary, it’s worth noting that this Hull KR documentary has been produced by the same company.
The series will go from the 2024 Grand Final loss to Wigan all the way through to the 2025 win against the same opponents at Old Trafford.
It will show the complete transformation of the club in respect to the team and off-field efforts as well with Hull KR having gone from a Championship side to treble-winners within a decade.
