Round 18 of Super League may be in the books but the disciplinary fallout is still to come with the Match Review Panel’s verdict today set to have plenty of players nervous.
The Match Review Panel will meet to judge the actions and confirm punishments with a number of players likely to land a ban for their misdemeanours.
Super League action started on Thursday night as York Knights beat Hull FC to make it three wins from three and pile more misery on the Black and Whites as they lost yet again.
Huddersfield would lose their 11th consecutive game on Friday as Bradford finally landed an away win, whilst Wigan’s youngsters showed their class as they beat Warrington to move second.
A triple header on Saturday started with Leigh beating Castleford albeit in controversial circumstances per the Tigers’ head coach Ryan Carr, who questioned a number of key calls.
Wakefield Trinity won for a second time over Hull KR before Leeds moved four clear atop Super League again with a comfortable win over Catalans. The action concluded on Sunday afternoon when Toulouse stunned St Helens, who lost 46-0 at home to the promoted side in a dour performance.

Super League round 18 disciplinary sweats
York would for a third straight game but they saw Ata Hingano placed on report for a shot that rocked the head of Lewis Martin, with the Hull FC man forced off as a result of the tackle.
Wigan’s win over Warrington may come with consequences as Oliver Partington was penalised for a swinging arm on James Bentley, something that has often led to a charge, whilst James Harrison and Kaide Ellis also caught opponents high.
Friday’s other game saw Zac Woolford put on report for a crusher tackle on Connor Wynne with a ban something that would only add to the Giants’ woes. Forward Matty English could also be charged after two separate late hits, one on Loghan Lewis and another on Chris Atkin.
Onto Saturday and Semi Valemei, who already has plenty of points on his record after a previous three-match ban, went high on Umyla Hanley and could well be banned. So too could Louis Senior if the Match Review Panel agree with the referee that the winger made dangerous contact on David Armstrong despite the Leigh man rapidly losing height.
The game between Hull KR and Wakefield saw both sides suffer sin bins, however, Peta Hiku‘s came for a late shot off the ball with Chris Kendall arguing it to be a blatant foul.
St Helens’ Daniel Suluka-Fifita was placed on report for a blindside hit off the ball on Brendan Hands, something he was probably lucky to avoid a sin bin for.
