Hull FC vs Leigh Leopards squads confirmed as Black and Whites dealt major injury boost

Aidan Sezer has been included in John Cartwright’s Hull FC squad to take on Leigh Leopards this weekend. The Black and Whites host the Leopards on Saturday with FC looking to consolidate their position in Super League’s top six with a win.

Leigh have plenty to play for themselves with the club pushing to seal a place in the top two against all the odds. The Leopards are currently three points behind Wigan Warriors in the Super League table and depending on Wigan’s result against Hull KR on Friday night, they could move up to within a point should they beat Hull.

Cartwright spoke on Wednesday to confirm that Sezer will be given until captain’s run on Friday to prove his fitness as he battles a shoulder injury and his squad is in keeping with that with the skipper included provisionally.

Hull have been boosted by the return of Jordan Lane this week, though. The back-rower broke his arm while in action against Hull KR earlier in the season and is now fit enough to be included in the 21-man squad once more.

That comes as a huge boost for FC, who have lost makeshift back-rower Ed Chamberlain to a rib injury.

Will Gardiner is also included for the west Hull side this week while Jack Charles is the second man to drop out of the fold.

Leigh boss Adrian Lam has named an unchanged squad to take on the Black and Whites and the expectation is that he will name something close to the same team that lost narrowly last Thursday against Leeds Rhinos.
