Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos squads confirmed as two forwards ruled out for the season whilst youngster returns after three years

Hull FC

Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos have named their initial squads for their top six clash at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Leeds will be looking to go level on points with second placed Wigan, even if it is only for a few hours before the Warriors take on Catalans later in the afternoon.

Hull FC simply need to record more wins than Wakefield Trinity in the final four games of the season, as they look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

With big injury news for both sides, here is all the team news and 21-man squads for Saturday’s crucial match-up.

Hull FC Team News:

Head coach John Cartwright has confirmed that his son, Jed, will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his pectoral muscle. It has been a luckless season with injuries for the back rower, who has managed to play just 10 games all year. Sam Eseh miss out again this week as he deals with a hamstring injury, but Liam Watts will be back in contention after passing his HIA protocols.

Youngster Max Simpson, who has not played a Super League game in over three years due to injury, has been progressing well in the reserve competition and is back in the squad in place of Riley Lumb.
