Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants wrap up week 1 of round 20 in Super League with the home side looking to claim their third win in a row.

Following their defeat to St Helens at the start of the month, the Black and Whites have gone on to beat fellow play-off hopefuls Wakefield Trinity and top-two side Wigan Warriors.

The Giants have suffered two heavy defeats in recent weeks, first against Wigan and then Wakefield last weekend, but their 30-12 win over Castleford Tigers at the start of July.

Following the team news during the week, here’s how Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants line up for Saturday afternoon’s fixture.

Hull FC head coach John Cartwright has made three changes to the side that beat Wigan Warriors 32-12 last time out.

There is a return for veteran forward Liam Watts on the bench, who’s making just his second appearance of the season.

Brad Fash drops out of the side completely and is replaced by Jack Ashworth in the starting second row.

Amir Bourouh is back from his HIA absence, but Cartwright remains with Cade Cust as the starting hooker, with Bourouh having to settle for a spot on the bench.

Sam Eseh also returns to the side, having sat out against the Warriors due to being ineligible to play against his parent club.

Huddersfield Giants team news

Huddersfield boss Luke Robinson confirmed that fullback Niall Evalds will miss the rest of the season with a calf injury.

The loanee limped off in the Giants’ 46-10 loss against Wakefield Trinity last Friday night and joins Adam Clune and Sam Hewitt on the long-term injury list.

That means a return for young George Flanagan Jr, who has been a bright spark in attack for the Giants in an otherwise disappointing season.

Jake Bibby moves back from the second row into the centres, and Sam Halsall misses out.

Fenton Rogers makes his return to the starting line-up, starting in the front row, with Tom Burgess moving onto the bench.

Joe Greenwood also comes back into the thirteen after missing out last week.
