Hull FC host Castleford Tigers on Friday night with the Black and Whites missing some key players and the team news has confirmed that.
John Asiata missed the Round 13 win over Catalans Dragons due to a hamstring injury which will sideline him for an extended period and John Cartwright confirmed Will Pryce picked up a similar injury in the dying moments of that game.
As such, he will miss the next eight to ten weeks which is a huge blow for the Black and Whites who are still in the play-offs and could go fourth with a win on Friday night.
Jordan Rapana is the likely man to fill in at the position after playing in a number of positions this year. Pryce is replaced in the squad by Will Gardiner in the only change to John Cartwright’s side but the likes of Ligi Sao (knee), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), and Jordan Lane (arm) all remain missing.
As for Castleford Tigers, they’re without their full-back as Tex Hoy drops out in one of four changes with Judah Rimbu another overseas player not named. Hugo Salabio and Josh Hodson also drop out but a number of key names return.
Muizz Mustapha and Tom Amone return following injury against Leeds, whilst captain Sam Wood is also back along with Will Tate.
