Hull FC have been handed a massive contract boost as one of their stars of 2025 has signed a new five-year deal.

The 2025 Super League top try-scorer Lewis Martin has put pen to paper with the Black and Whites, signing a brand-new five-year deal that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2030 season.

It’s a massive piece of retention for Hull FC with the club moving to secure a number of their young rising stars in recent years, with 21-year-old Martin just the latest.

Martin was already contracted until the end of the 2028 season anyway but with the lure of the NRL growing stronger and the winger having such an incredible 2025 campaign, the Black and Whites have taken no risks and secured their star asset to an extended deal.

A statement from the club confirmed the new deal, reading: “Hull FC are delighted to confirm that winger Lewis Martin has signed a new five-year deal, committing his long-term future to the Black & Whites.

“A product of the club’s pathway system, Martin has grown into one of Betfred Super League’s most talented stars, signing a new five-year deal that will keep the 21-year-old at the MKM Stadium until the end of the 2030 season.”

Lewis Martin signs extended Hull FC deal

A Super League Dream Team member in 2025 and a Young Player of the Year nominee, Martin has gone from strength to strength in the past two seasons, currently boasting an incredible 42 tries in 56 games.

Signs of what he can do were evident in the club’s recent pre-season friendly as he scored a hat-trick against Wigan Warriors with the homegrown talent now set to stay at the club for a further five years.

On the deal, the 21-year-old said: “Hull is home. I’ve grown up here and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The fans have always backed me and I’m proud to keep representing them.

“The next five years give me a further chance to give something back to the club that gave me an opportunity in the sport.”

Club chief executive Richie Myler hailed Martin’s new deal as one that helps connect the club to the city with Martin having progressed through the Black and Whites’ own system.

“This is a really important signing for us,” Myler said.

“Lewis has come through our system, he understands what this club means to the city and the fans.

“We want a group that people recognise and feel connected to, players who wear the shirt with pride and give everything to Hull FC.

“Securing Lewis for the next five years is exactly the kind of decision that helps you build something properly and sustainably.”
