Huddersfield Giants will be looking to continue their recent improvement in form as they go head-to-head with Wakefield Trinity in a West Yorkshire derby.
The Giants have won the last four Super League meetings, but they will have to be at their best if they are to continue that streak.
Trinity will be looking for a huge improvement to the performance they dished out at Hull FC. With a potential three returning players, they will see this as a must-win if they are to stay in the race for the top six.
How Huddersfield Giants and Wakefield Trinity could line up
Luke Robinson could welcome back two players this week, with Tom Burgess returning after missing last week with flu and Niall Evalds making only his second appearance since joining on loan from Hull KR. He has recovered from a broken foot and has been in full training for the last two weeks.
Robinson also confirmed that despite this, George Flanagan will remain in the side this week. He also mentioned that Elliot Wallis, who returned from a loan spell at Leeds Rhinos this week, will play in the reserves and not the first team.
Jake Trueman, Renouf Atoni and Matty Storton all returned to the initial side, the latter two are long-term injuries and their game time will need to be slowly increased, but expect to see Trueman slot straight back into the side.
Three players named in the initial squad lined up to play for Trinity’s reserves on Thursday night. Seth Nikotemo, Ellis Lingard and Tommy Doyle will all not play against the Giants.
