Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity team news as quartet return and in-form full-backs miss out

Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants host Wakefield Trinity at the Accu Stadium looking for their first home win of the Super League campaign.

All three of the Giants’ wins this year have come on the road and tonight marks their first home game at their stadium since the end of May, a narrow 28-24 defeat to Leigh Leopards.

As for Wakefield Trinity, they’ve performed better on the road than at home although they have lost their last three on the road including last week’s poor performance against Hull FC.

With three key names in Jake Trueman, Renouf Atoni and Matty Storton returning to their 21-man squad, Daryl Powell will be hoping for an immediate reaction. The Giants also see long-term absentee Niall Evalds return after breaking his foot on debut.

The matchday squads for tonight’s clash have now been confirmed with both Huddersfield Giants and Wakefield Trinity set to face off at 8:00 pm live on Sky Sports+ and Super League+.
