Huddersfield Giants have confirmed that Aidan McGowan will join Batley Bulldogs on a two-week loan deal.
McGowan has suffered with injury this season, appearing just five times in all competitions.
Giants Director of Rugby, Andy Kelly, spoke on the move and what they hope to achieve from it.
He said: “This is the ideal move for Aidan, who has been on the sidelines with an injury for a number of weeks and can now gain his match fitness back at a good club he has played at before”.

McGowan spent the entire 2023 season with the Bulldogs, and scored 14 tries in 28 appearances.
The 23-year-old has also spent time on loan at Bradford Bulls, York Knights and Dewsbury Rams in his career so far.
He made his Giants debut in the middle of last season, playing on the wing in a 48-0 defeat to Warrington Wolves.
He has since made 15 first team appearances and will look to earn more opportunities once he returns to full fitness.
The move will strengthen the backs options for Batley, and it is thought that McGowan will feature on the wing. John Kear’s side brought in Bayley Liu last week from Bradford to play on the wing as also he joined the club on loan to gain match fitness.
Batley currently sit second bottom of the Championship, with only Hunslet below them. During McGowan’s stay, they face a tough test away at Barrow Raiders before taking on Halifax, who have been inconsistent all year.
Should the loan move go as planned, the 23-year-old could come back into contention for Luke Robinson in Round 20, when Huddersfield travel to Hull FC.
McGowan is not the only Giants player currently out on loan, with fellow winger Elliot Wallis currently on loan at Leeds Rhinos.
