St Helens have recalled a Super League loanee ahead of their clash with Huddersfield Giants on Thursday evening.
Jacob Douglas, who has spent the last two months at the Giants, will now return to the Brewdog Stadium, and he will re-join Paul Rowley’s side in time to potentially face his now former club.
The winger, who signed for Saints from Wigan in the off-season, played four games under Liam Finn, scoring twice.
The loan was initially a season-long one, but Saints held a recall option as part of the agreeement which they have now opted to activate.
However, in a ‘one in, one out’ situation, the Giants have already found his replacement.
Hull KR winger Lee Kershaw will join the club instead, doing so on a short-term loan as he looks for first team rugby following his recovery from an ACL injury.
Kershaw last played Super League in round seven of 2025, featuring for Castleford Tigers on loan. He is yet to make a league appearance for KR, but has featured in the reserve grade competition and once in the Challenge Cup.
