There are 17 games of live rugby league for fans to indulge in this week, as Super League has it’s first split round that will see half the games played this week, and half next week.
Thursday 24th July:
Kicking us off this week is the NRL clash between Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm. A Roosters win seems unlikely in this one, but both side need the two points as the season comes to a close.
We then travel to the DIY Kitchens Stadium for a mouth-watering local derby between Wakefield Trinity and Leeds Rhinos. The Rhinos could move level on points with Wigan in second place, whilst Wakefield look to secure their second win of the season over Brad Arthur’s men.
Friday 25th July:
An NRL double header kicks off Friday’s action. First, North Queensland Cowboys take on St George Illawarra Dragons before Brisbane Broncos host Parramatta Eels.
In the evening, you can watch Wigan Warriors look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Catalans Dragons to the Brick Community Stadium.
Saturday 26th July:
There are seven matches on Saturday, with six of those coming from down under. Taking the early start is the NRLW match between NZ Warriors and Gold Coast Titans. That game forms part of a double header as the men’s sides also do battle.
Back to the NRLW, and Sydney Roosters remain the only team unbeaten. They will look to continue their run of form against Canterbury Bulldogs.
Shortly after, North Queensland take on Canberra Raiders, with the Raiders looking to get their first win of the season.
In the mid-morning, Penrith Panthers’ men’s side take on Wests Tigers and South Sydney Rabbitohs host Cronulla Sharks. Two tasty NRL clashes to start the weekend right.
Finally on Saturday, Hull FC, who are still in high spirits after their huge win over Wigan, look to increase their top six hopes as they face Huddersfield Giants at the MKM Stadium.
Sunday 27th July:
England internationals Paige Travis and Georgia Roche go head-to-head as Parramatta Eels face Newcastle Knights in the NRLW. After this, St George Illawarra host Brisbane.
The final two NRL games of the weekend see Canberra take on Newcastle, and Canterbury take on Manly Sea Eagles.
The weekend concludes with one more NRLW clash, with Cronulla hosting Wests Tigers.
