How to watch rugby league on TV this week as State of Origin returns plus St Helens v Leeds Rhinos clash

This week’s rugby league action sees State or Origin return and a classic rivalry in Super League and here’s details on how to watch it all.

Super League returned last week after the week off for the Challenge Cup Final and it’s fair to say it didn’t disappoint with last-minute drama in the clash between Huddersfield and Wigan, whilst the game on BBC Two between Wakefield and Leigh also went to the wire.

Wednesday 18th June

There could be more intense matches this coming week and the action will start on Wednesday with State of Origin returning. The Blues are 1-0 up and could secure the series with a win against the Maroons.

Thursday 19th June

After no Super League this past Thursday, it returns this week as we head to the Jungle to watch Castleford take on Hull KR. The Tigers took the Robins to golden point in Round One so this could be closer than some may expect.

Friday 20th June

The first NRL fixture of the week starts us off as Wests host Canberra but the main event is St Helens hosting Leeds Rhinos in the evening. That’s on Sky Sport+ whilst Wakefield versus Wigan is on the red button of that same channel.

Saturday 21st June

There are three NRL matches on Saturday morning with several English players featuring including the recently transferred Dom Young. The afternoon action sees the Burgess brothers face off as Huddersfield travel to Warrington, before Catalans host Leigh in the evening slot.

Sunday 22nd June

There are three more NRL games on Sunday morning with the pick of the bunch pitting the Broncos against the Sharks for an early morning 5am start. Salford Red Devils host Hull in Super League on the afternoon.
