There is plenty of rugby league available to watch on TV this week with the NRLW returning and a huge Super League clash between Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos.
In total, there are 17 matches available to watch with six in Super League, six in the NRLW and just five in the NRL as clubs prepare for the deciding State of Origin match the following Wednesday.
The NRLW has jumped from ten teams to twelve for 2025 with New Zealand Warriors returning and Canterbury Bulldogs entering a team for the first time, and several NRL clubs, including Canterbury are opening their NRLW season with double-headers.
Looking ahead, here are the details on every rugby league match available to watch on TV this coming week.
Thursday 3rd July
The NRLW season kicks off with the 2024 fourth and fifth-placed teams facing off as Cronulla host Parramatta with that game being one of the only UK-friendly kick-off times this week for the competition, starting at 10:45 am. It’s one of just two Thursday games with Super League seeing Castleford Tigers host Huddersfield in a battle between the teams in the bottom three.
Friday 4th July
There’s a double header at Canterbury on Friday morning as their NRLW side take on the Knights before Cam Ciraldo’s side host the Broncos, however, that’s just an appetiser for one of the games of the round in Super League. Leigh host Wigan at 8:00 pm live on Sky Sports Action with the visitors out-of-sorts at the moment and without Bevan French, could another Leigh win be on the cards? Salford also take on Warrington in the other Super League clash.
Saturday 5th July
There are three NRLW matches on Saturday morning but it’s an early start with the first kicking off at 3:45 am as last year’s minor premier winners host the wooden spoon Tigers in game one. There’s a Canberra versus St George double header as well with the women and men playing, whilst there’s also two Super League games in the afternoon. Hull FC host St Helens as they look to finally win at home, whilst Wakefield Trinity welcome Catalans in the evening kick-off.
Sunday 6th July
No Sunday morning lie-in if you want to watch the NRLW game which kicks off at 2:40 am in the UK but Jasmin Strange, who has expressed an interest in playing for England, starts for the Roosters as they take on the Warriors. Trent Robinson’s side then play Wests before Lewis Dodd is in action for the Bunnies against Manly. However, the main rugby league battle this week sees Hull KR host Leeds Rhinos with the teams meeting on the back of impressive wins. The Robins won in dramatic fashion earlier in the year and this promises to be another exciting clash.
