New Leeds boss
Of course, the news that dominated yesterday was that of Rohan Smith being appointed as head coach of Leeds Rhinos.
The former Bradford Bulls boss has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the club. Read more here.

That news coincided with that of Tony Smith leaving Hull KR – much to the shock of the club, its players and its fans.

Savelio’s message
It’s been a cruel few years for Hull FC star Andre Savelio and it has got worse for him in recent times with his serious injury confirmed. The powerful forward took to Instagram to share his heartbreak at the latest diagnosis. Read more here.
All in all, the Hull Daily Mail has revealed that there are nine Hull men on the sideline – whether through injury or suspension – right now.
Holmes and Dixon new clubs
Both Featherstone Rovers’ Tom Holmes and Leigh Centurions’ Kieran Dixon have found new clubs.

Dodd’s offer
St Helens starlet Lewis Dodd has told The Sun how he came close to joining rugby union outfit Sale Sharks before becoming a professional rugby league halfback.
Dodd is currently out injured until the end of the season with an Achilles problem.
Huge ban
Wigan Warriors’ Sam Powell an Hull FC’s Brad Fash went along to the RFL Tribunal yesterday to fight their respective Grade E charges.
Whilst one was successful, the other one incurred a huge ban. Read more here.

Tony Smith’s exit from Hull KR was confirmed yesterday and he was asked about the Leeds Rhinos job in his pre-match press conference.

Evalds’ and Saints stars’ absence explained
When Castleford Tigers boss Lee Radford named his 21-man squad yesterday for the visit of St Helens on Friday, one big name absent – Niall Evalds. Read more on why he won’t play here.

Huge Wigan blow
Wigan Warriors have been dealt a huge blow with the news that one of their star men will be out for a number of months, according to Wigan Today.

Could Tom Burgess be on the move away from the South Sydney Rabbitohs? That could be on the cards according to the Daily Telegraph.

Leeds Rhinos CEO Gary Hetherington discussed the possible movement of players to Headingley in his conference yesterday after announcing the new boss.

Hetherington also announced in the same conference how many candidates were shortlisted for the role as Leeds Rhinos head coach.

Norman’s shock Super League move
Former Brisbane Broncos and St George Illawarra Dragons halfback Corey Norman has found a new club.

Seibold to SL?
The Mole at the World Wide of Sports has revealed that former Brisbane Broncos boss Anthony Seibold could be heading to Super League.
It would be a drastic change for the ex-Souths man who has been coaching alongside Eddie Jones with England rugby union. Read more here.

Leigh Centurions are set to make two major signings that will help propel them to Championship glory.
