Bussey’s controversy

Featherstone Rovers star Jack Bussey has been thrust into the limelight following a controversial incident in his side’s loss to Leigh Centurions at the weekend.

Bussey caught Leigh man Blake Ferguson with a nasty-looking tackle which went unpunished on the field. Read more here.

Smithies’ ban

Wigan Warriors forward Morgan Smithies has been handed a lengthy ban for two separate incidents in the Challenge Cup Final at the weekend.

He caught two players with a swinging arm but referee James Child decided to just penalise the forward. Read more here.

Former Wigan Warriors and Leigh Centurions star Gareth Hock has found himself a shock new career.

Bateman cited

Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors star John Bateman was also cited by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel for a curious incident. Bateman was, however, deemed to be innocent and he will be free to play this week. Read more here.

Ex-Warrington Wolves assistant has been revealed in a club’s new deal.
