It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Hardaker’s huge news

Much has been made of Zak Hardaker’s move to Leeds Rhinos after being released by Wigan Warriors, but when he suffered a seizure almost a fortnight ago, rivalries were put to one side.

After last night’s confirmation that one Castleford Tigers man would be leaving the club – albeit on a short-term deal – there is the likelihood of another exiting.

A Penrith Panthers forward is reportedly on his way to Super League, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Cas man impressing

A leading rugby league agent has talked up a Castleford Tigers signing on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.

The signing has been impressing in recent weeks despite starting out as a Sunderland goalkeeper! Read more here.

Warrington exit

Warrington Wolves have announced that one of their forwards has left the Halliwell Jones Stadium with immediate effect.

Rugby league takeover

Rugby league are set to be taken over by a worldwide company in the upcoming months once realignment is done and dusted.

Hull FC turned down

It was revealed over the weekend that one Super League head coach actually turned down Hull FC to become boss.

Instead, Hull are now under Brett Hodgson who has lifted the Black and Whites into the top four of Super League. Read more here.

Leeds recruitment and retention

Leeds Rhinos new head coach Rohan Smith has given the latest on recruitment and retention priorities at Headingley.

Smith took his first training session this time last week and will be in the hotseat for Leeds’ game against Salford on Sunday.

Bateman future

Wigan Warriors star John Bateman has made an admission on his future in the Rugby League World magazine.

Bateman has had two spells at the DW Stadium sandwiched by a period in the NRL with Canberra Raiders. Read more here.
