A former Super League and Bradford Bulls fullback has passed away in Australia aged just 57, with his former club ‘extremely saddened’ by the news of his passing.
Danny Peacock spent three years with the Bulls in the late 90s as a member of one of Super League’s earliest great sides.
The fullback joined Bradford in 1997, winning the Bulls’ first Grand Final that season in just the second season of Super League.
He stayed at the club for an additional two seasons before he was forced to retire early at just 31, due to a shoulder injury.
However, he is remembered by Bradford and Super League fans alike from those early days of the league, when the Bulls were one of the best teams in the country.

Featuring 45 times for the Bulls and scoring 20 tries, he became a cult hero at the club and a popular figure with the fans.
Prior to moving to the UK, he spent nine seasons playing in Australia in the NSWRL and ARL Premiership, the competition before the NRL was formed in 1998, playing for clubs such as Wests Magpies, Gold Coast and South Queensland.
With 128 games under his belt before arriving at Bradford, along with 38 tries, he was already a seasoned player before moving across to Super League.
Via X, the Bulls have said: “We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former player Danny Peacock.
“After a superb career in Australia, Danny spent three years at the Bulls between 1997-99, making his debut in a 26-8 win away at Wakefield, earning him Heritage Number 1152.
“A tremendous talent, one who many enjoyed watching in the red, amber and black.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with his nearest and dearest at this difficult time.
“Fly high, Birdman.”
