Salford swoop

Salford Red Devils have swooped for an NRL international centre in what can only be described as a major coup. The new signing was announced on the Salford website and joins the likes of Marc Sneyd and Brodie Croft at the AJ Bell Stadium for 2022. Read who the new signing is here.

Fastest man in NRL

An Englishman is set to become the fastest man in the NRL, according to Fox Sports. The record in 2021 was over 38 km/h, but the Brit is expected to top that in 2022. Read more here.

Barba arrested

Ben Barba has been arrested for an alleged assault and has been kept in jail for two nights, the Daily Mail has reported. The Dally M Medal and Man of Steel winner had been rumoured to be heading for a new professional rugby league deal. Read more on the incident here.

Warrington Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick has slammed the club’s performances in 2021 whilst talking to the Through The Wire podcast. The club finished third, but exited the play-offs at the first time of asking. Read more here.

Zane Tetevano has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he was unhappy with his first year as a Leeds Rhinos player and cannot wait to get out on the field to show what he can really do.

Hull FC have started an initiative whereby fans get to meet players in what’s been called signing sessions – advertised on their website. The likes of Joe Cator and new signing Kane Evans will be at the club shop this weekend for all young fans to get involved.

Widdop future
