A former Leigh Leopards half-back has made a West Yorkshire switch, and will now ply his trade at Championship side Batley Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs, now under the tutelage of James Ford, head into the restructured Championship season with hope, after a rocky 2025 season saw them finish 12th out of 13 teams in the second tier next year.
However, their recruitment so far shows that they are wanting to make amends, and their latest addition will hope he can go a long way in helping the club achieve that.
Former Leigh Leopards and Hull KR playmaker, Ben Reynolds, is the West Yorkshire outfit’s latest recruit, and will make the short trip over from Featherstone Rovers.
Reynolds, who also has Super League experience with Hull FC, Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers, has amassed over 230 senior games in his career.
Still only 31, the Tigers academy graduate will be linking up with fellow new signing, Wesley Bruines, who joins the club after a year in Australia after his release from Warrington Wolves.
Linking up with his future coach once again, Reynolds played under his new boss in the 2024 season, when Ford was in charge of Featherstone.
The half-back was part of the Leopards’ 2022 promotion winning side, as well as their 2023 Challenge Cup winning squad, meaning he has great experience not only in trophy success, but earning promotion to the top flight.
