The disciplinary verdict after the latest round of Championship action has confirmed with former Hull KR and Castleford Tigers man Tyla Hepi the only player to be banned.
Hepi was one of three players charged with one of his Doncaster teammates also charged, albeit evading a ban, after the club’s midweek game against Widnes Vikings earlier this month.
Because of the fact the Dons had played midweek, charges could not be brought for that game during last week’s disciplinary verdict so they were pushed back to this current week’s verdict in which only one other player was charged.
Hepi, his teammate Buretta Faraimo and Hunslet’s Jimmy Watson were the three men to be charged but Hepi was the only player to land a ban with the forward handed a Grade D charge for dangerous contact.
It means the former Hull KR man will miss two matches with teammate Faraimo, who scored two tries in that win over Widnes, handed a Grade C charge for making late contact with the passer. The ex-Hull FC and Castleford man avoids a ban as a result of that.
As for Watson, who is ex-Leeds academy, he was handed a Grade B charge for a shoulder charge in Hunslet’s heavy loss to London Broncos, in which Gairo Voro scored an incredible seven tries as he proved exactly why the PNG Chiefs have signed him for 2028.
