Salford RLFC are set for their first ever game after reforming and Mike Grady has named his 21-man squad for their Championship opener.
There are no easy games in rugby league but Friday will be especially tough for Salford RLFC as they host Oldham, who are among the favourites for silverware in the Championship in 2026.
Alan Kilshaw will bring his squad that is packed with former Super League players to the Corpacq Stadium to take on a Salford side that has been built in it’s entirety over the past three weeks.
Every player to sign for Salford RLFC so far
Salford have signed a total of 21 players and they’ve brought in five loanees as well and they’ve now named their first 21-man squad with all five of those loanees named.
Their newest signing, Brad Dwyer, headlines the squad with Dwyer familiar with Salford having played for the Red Devils on loan from Leigh last year, however, he will now represent them as RLFC alongside four Leopards loanees.

Oldham team news
As for Oldham, their squad is obviously far stronger on paper with the most attention focused on full-back Jack Walker, who had signed a deal with Salford Red Devils to play for them in 2026 before the club went into administration.
He anchors a back line that features the likes of ex-St Helens man Ben Davies and former Huddersfield man Jake Bibby. Morgan Smith, Riley Dean and Josh Drinkwater are options in the halves whilst former Salford man Jack Ormondroyd will lead the pack.
Wigan Warriors’ loanee Harvey Makin will be another who is prominent in that Oldham pack.
