With signings, departures and contract extensions being gradually announced ahead of the next Super League season, the transfer market continues to heat up ahead of 2027
Starting ahead of this season, top-flight clubs are allowed to have 10 quota players in their side, which is an increase from seven in previous years.
An overseas quota player is counted as someone who was not born in or did not play junior rugby in either the UK or France, with famous exemption cases including Leigh Leopards’ Lachlan Lam as he played junior rugby in England whilst his father, and now coach, Adrian was playing for Wigan Warriors.
Other examples include Wakefield’s Isaiah Vagana and Leeds Rhinos forward signing Ethan O’Neill.
With recruitment in full swing for next year, here is a run-down of how each club is looking in terms of quota spots, with every club having space, at this stage, to bring in some overseas quality.
