Every Super League club’s quota situation as Hull FC among four sides with max capacity

Hull FC

Super League has expanded the overseas player quota to ten per club for the 2026 season but which clubs are utilising that increase?

Previously capped at seven, the increase on quota has been introduced in part due to Super League expanding to 14 teams as it allows for an extra 56 overseas players to feature in the competition.

An overseas quota player is counted as someone who was not born in or did not play junior rugby in either the UK or France, with famous exemption cases including Leigh Leopards’ Lachlan Lam as he played junior rugby in England whilst his father, and now coach, Adrian was playing for Wigan Warriors.

Other examples include Wakefield’s Isaiah Vagana and Leeds Rhinos’ new signing Ethan O’Neill.

With Super League starting in just over a month, we’ve looked at every club’s overseas quota players with 12 of the 14 sides having free spots should they wish to sign more overseas talent.
