Every Super League club’s Man of Steel favourite including shock Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves picks

Leeds Rhinos

Odds for the 2026 Super League Man of Steel have been released with a few familiar names near the top of the market, but we’ve looked at which players are the favourites at each of the 14 clubs.

The 2026 season marks the return to 14 clubs with Salford Red Devils relegated at the expense of Bradford Bulls, whilst York Knights and Toulouse Olympique earned promotion via the application process.

It means the competition will have a second French team, as in 2022, a sleeping giant returns for the first time in over a decade, and a new club joins Super League for the first time.

Of course, each of the promoted teams faces a tough task to assemble a competitive squad and that’s left them unfancied in terms of silverware but also in terms of the Man of Steel race.

We’ve picked out each club’s strongest Super League Man of Steel candidate according to bookmakers Betfred with Toulouse Olympique’s best hope made a 66/1 outsider, whilst Bradford have a surprise man as short as 20/1.

All odds are correct at the time of writing and all taken from Betfred.

Which player from your club has the best chance of being crowned Super League Man of Steel?

Bradford Bulls – Waqa Blake @ 20/1

One of the most surprising prices on the list is former St Helens centre and current Bradford man Waqa Blake at 20/1 with centre being a tough position to win the award from, not least from a team such as Bradford.

Castleford Tigers – Zac Cini @ 33/1

Another centre heading the betting for their club and that’s Zac Cini at Castleford. When fit, he was one of the standout performers at the Jungle but it should be noted that 2026 recruits Tom Weaver and Blake Taafe are not listed in the betting at the time of writing.

Catalans Dragons – Tommy Makinson and Solomona Faataape @ 40/1

Like with Castleford’s new signings, the likes of Lewis Dodd and Toby Sexton aren’t priced up but one outside back recruit is and that’s Solomona Faataape, made a 40/1 chance alongside veteran Tommy Makinson.

Huddersfield Giants – Niall Evalds @ 25/1

Evalds will be like a new signing in 2026 though he did sign in 2025 but suffered a broken foot minutes into his debut. Handed the number one shirt for 2026, if he can rekindle the form he showed in 2024 at Hull KR then Evalds could be a dark horse.

Hull FC – Will Pryce @ 25/1

Another player recovering from injury but if fully firing, there’s no reason why Will Pryce cannot make a mockery of these odds.

Hull KR – Mikey Lewis @ 8/1

The 2024 winner is priced up as the joint-favourite to win a second Man of Steel crown and it’s easy to see why. Jez Litten is also made a 16/1 chance after his impressive 2025 season.

Leeds Rhinos – Jake Connor and Brodie Croft @ 16/1

Perhaps a surprise here that the reigning Man of Steel is so low in the betting and that he’s given the same chance as playing partner Brodie Croft, a former winner, who Connor outshone massively in 2025.

Leigh Leopards – Lachlan Lam @ 14/1

A whopping 41 assists in 2025 but no Man of Steel nomination makes you wonder what Lachlan Lam would have to do to win the award in 2026, however, he is deemed Leigh’s best chance.

St Helens – Jack Welsby @ 14/1

A new-look St Helens could see the revival of Jack Welsby and if so, then he could be impressive value at 14/1.

Toulouse Olympique – Paul Marcon, Paul Ulberg, Olly Ashall-Bott and others @ 66/1

A number of Toulouse players are made 66/1 chances with playmaker Ashall-Bott perhaps the strongest chance, although that is an incredibly slim one anyway.

Wakefield Trinity – Tom Johnstone, Max Jowitt and Lachlan Walmsley @ 33/1

A trio of Wakefield backs although one seems less likely to feature than the other two with Lachlan Walmsley a surprise inclusion here.

Warrington Wolves – Matt Dufty, Matty Ashton and George Williams @ 20/1

Like Wakefield, one man here seems less likely to win with Matt Dufty not handed the number one shirt and seemingly on the fringes at Wire after discipline issues in 2025. Matty Ashton will also miss early parts of the season injured whilst George Williams will look to refind his form.

Wigan Warriors – Bevan French @ 8/1

The 2023 winner and probably the best player in Super League on his day, it makes sense that Bevan French is one of the joint-favourites.

York Knights – Jon Bennison and Will Dagger @ 33/1

Will Dagger has just signed his new deal whilst Jon Bennison is a new addition at the LNER Stadium.
