The Stade Jean-Bouin became the latest unique venue to host a Super League fixture with Catalans Dragons and Wigan Warriors facing off in Paris this past weekend.
Wigan saw off Catalans in comfortable fashion, winning 40-16 in a game that celebrated 20 years of the Dragons playing in Super League and yet more history was written on the day.
The Stade Jean-Bouin became the 76th venue to host a Super League match but number 77 and 78 are fast approaching with Magic Weekend set to host games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton’s home ground, and the Stade Pierre-Fabre, the home of Castres Olympique.
With talk that Super League will head to Dublin next year, the number is only set to increase as we head into 2027.
